Changes to County Court Costs

May 16, 2025 By Davies Moloney Barristers & Solicitors

From 1 January 2025, the County Court (Chapter I Costs Amendment) Rules 2024 came into effect.

The effect of these changes are that the County Court will now adopt the Supreme Court’s Scale of Costs which means that for practitioners to determine scale costs, they will be required to access Appendix A to the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2015 (Vic).

If you require any further information or require representation in a County Court matter, please contact our office.
